I hear a lot, emphasis on "a lot,"
"Sooo, am I paying for shipping?"
"Does the signing fee include shipping?"
"How do I get shipping supplies?"
"I walked into UPS with my loan documents to ship them and they asked where my shipping folder was. Uhm? Here?"
"How much do my shipping supplies cost and where do I get them?"
Have no fear, Anna's here and I got your back, okay?
So, when it comes to loan signings... Most of the time, you are not the one paying for the shipping. The title company, signing service, lender, attorneys office or settlement agency provide a prepaid shipping label for you to use to ship the documents back to them (or wherever they need to go).
The shipping packs and labels you need for shipping are actually FREE from Fedex and UPS.
You should also ship documents in manilla folders and secure them with rubberbands.
To make sure you're prepared when you take a signing, I've created a free loan signing agent supplies guide that also includes links for you to create a free profile at Fedex and UPS.
