Why You Need a Laser Printer as a Notary Signing Agent

Alright, let's get straight to the point about one thing every Notary Signing Agent needs: a laser printer. And it's not just because I or anyone else says so; it’s because the big players in the game – the lenders, title companies, and signing services – all but insist on it.

The reason? It all comes down to the quality and durability of your documents. In our line of work, every page we print, every document we notarize, it needs to stand the test of time. Inkjet printers? Sure, they’re great for your home office or printing out coloring pages for your kids. But when it comes to the professional documents we handle daily, ink just doesn’t cut it. It smudges, it fades, and let’s be honest, it just doesn’t look as sharp.

Laser printers use toner, not ink, and that’s a game-changer for us. Toner doesn’t smudge like ink does. It creates a more professional, crisp document that’s durable and made to last. It’s also wayyy more cost-efficient. And when we're dealing with important recordable documents, that's exactly what we need.

So, investing in a good quality laser printer isn’t just a recommendation; it’s a necessity. If all the other notary signing agents use a laser printer, don’t you want to at least meet the industry standard? Yes, I know you do!

Don’t forget, you don’t neeeed a dual-tray printer. I posted a blog about why not a couple weeks ago here. https://www.notarymarketingco.com/s/stories/no-you-dont-need-a-dual-tray-printer-to-start-your-notary-business

Any laser printer that has the capability to print both letter and legal size paper will do just fine.

Trust me, starting your notary business with a laser printer is one decision in your notary career you won't regret.

Happy printing!
